Royal IHC delivers all-electric cutter suction dredger for Polish mine
Road-transportable eCSD Tomaszów heads to a silica-sands operation after a multi-leg journey

Royal IHC has delivered an all-electric cutter suction dredger, named Tomaszów, which has reached its destination in Poland and entered the final stages of assembly ahead of launch. Built on the yard's established Beaver 65 platform, the fully electric machine was engineered around a demountable, road-transportable design so it can be deployed efficiently to a silica-sands operation without sacrificing performance.
Getting it there was a logistics feat in its own right. The journey began at the builder's yard in the Netherlands, continued by sea to Gdańsk, and finished with roughly 500 km of road transport to the mine site, involving 16 special transports carrying oversized and heavy components. The project underscores how delivering complex mining equipment depends as much on planning and cooperation across multiple partners as on the vessel itself.
