Wison wins EPCIC deal for Ivory Coast Baleine FPSO

China's Wison New Energies signs the EPCIC contract with Eni and Altera for the Baleine Phase 3 FPSO offshore Ivory Coast.

China's Wison New Energies has signed the EPCIC contract with Eni and Altera Infrastructure for the Baleine Phase 3 FPSO offshore Ivory Coast. The award carries Wison from FEED through EPCIC execution, underlining its end-to-end delivery capability for offshore oil and gas. Baleine Phase 3 is operated by Eni, with Altera Infrastructure as owner-operator of the FPSO; Altera was also involved in the redeployment of the FPSO and FSO in Baleine Phase 2.

The unit will work in about 800-1,200 m of water and is designed to process up to 90,000 barrels of oil, 80,000 barrels of produced water and 160 million standard cubic feet of gas per day, with a design life of at least 20 years. It will measure roughly 308 m long, 57 m in breadth and 29.8 m in depth.

"Wison will leverage its mature project management framework and integrated delivery capabilities to ensure the successful execution of the project," said CEO Cheng Yuanyun.
