TGS grows Asia-Africa footprint with Brunei and Sierra Leone work
The Oslo-listed seismic specialist wins a multi-client 3D survey in Brunei and starts a reprocessing programme off Sierra Leone.

Oslo-listed seismic data specialist TGS has won a contract to run a multi-client 3D seismic survey in Brunei for the country's petroleum authority, and is also starting a reprocessing project off the coast of Sierra Leone.
The Brunei award covers new 3D seismic acquisition, processing and marketing under a multi-client model. It allows TGS to seek prefunding from the industry to deliver modern, high-quality 3D data that can help operators understand reservoir potential, de-risk leads and support investment decisions ahead of future licensing rounds.
TGS said the work supports Brunei's broader aim of attracting international investment and advancing its upstream oil and gas sector, while complementing the company's existing multi-client footprint across the Asia Pacific region.
Separately, TGS said it was starting the Sierra Leone 2D and Mabesi 3D Vision reprocessing projects offshore Sierra Leone. The programme covers full reprocessing of 24,000 km of field data from multiple input surveys, including 2D seismic data and 4,155 sq km of Mabesi 3D seismic data.
Early-out products from both projects are expected in 2026. Final products from Mabesi 3D Vision are due in the first quarter of 2027, with final products from Sierra Leone 2D Vision expected in the third quarter of 2027.
