Saudi Arabia's Mawani adds a Maersk service to Jeddah Islamic Port
The new service links Jeddah with US, Moroccan, Omani and Indian ports

Saudi Arabia's ports authority has added a Maersk service to Jeddah Islamic Port, a move it says enhances the port's maritime connectivity and expands its network of regional and global links. The new service connects Jeddah with several ports on the US east and Gulf coasts, as well as Tangier in Morocco, Salalah in Oman and three ports in India, on a rotation with capacity of up to 7,000 TEU.
The authority said the addition was part of efforts to strengthen the port's competitiveness, improve maritime links with global markets and support national exports and supply-chain efficiency. Jeddah Islamic Port is described as a key logistics hub on the Red Sea, continuing to expand its network in line with the country's transport and logistics strategy and its ambition to serve as a global logistics hub.
