Panama Canal tightens neopanamax draught limits again

The Panama Canal Authority will cut authorised draught to 14.94m from 24 July and 14.78m from 15 August as water risk returns.

This is not yet a repeat of the severe 2023-24 drought restrictions that slashed booking slots and forced widespread rerouting, but it puts the canal back into defensive mode ahead of the next dry season.
