Keyfield wins 13 charter deals across Asia and Middle East
The Malaysian OSV owner adds RM229m of work across three markets, taking first-half contract wins to 21.

Malaysia-based offshore vessel owner and operator Keyfield International has secured 13 new charter contracts worth RM229m ($55.7m), adding work in Malaysia, Thailand and the Middle East as it broadens its regional footprint.
The deals carry extension options worth a further RM41m ($10m) and take Keyfield's contract wins to 21 for the first half of 2026, following eight agreements announced earlier in the year. The awards involve a mix of the company's own vessels and third-party tonnage supporting offshore oil and gas activity for petroleum arrangement contractors and other players across the three markets. The charters have either started or will begin in the second and third quarters of 2026, with firm periods ranging from one month to 17 months and optional extensions of up to five months — work the company says will strengthen earnings visibility through 2027.
CEO Darren Kee Chit Huei said the latest batch reflects an effort to reduce reliance on Malaysia and spread exposure across more markets. "Diversifying beyond a single market is no longer just a growth strategy; it is a resilience strategy," he said.
Keyfield said 12 of its 14 owned vessels are currently on hire, leaving just two awaiting deployment; those units are expected to enter service early in the second half of 2026 after customer inspections.
