Hayfin sells 11-vessel anchor-handler fleet to new owner
German-managed offshore support ships change hands as Capital Offshore joint venture closes

Alternative asset manager Hayfin Capital Management has agreed to sell an 11-vessel offshore support fleet managed by a German-based operator to a newly formed company backed by what the manager described as leading maritime-sector investors. No price was disclosed. Two 2010-built anchor handlers have already been transferred to the new owners, with the remaining nine to follow over the coming weeks as charter and operational schedules allow. The German manager, which has run the ships since 2018, will continue to provide full commercial, crewing and technical management.
The sale comes alongside a separate, now-completed transaction in which an offshore arm of a Greek-led maritime group acquired 50% of the manager from Hayfin after receiving all required approvals. That business is set to be renamed to reflect the new joint venture and brings in up to 16 platform supply vessels and four multipurpose support vessels. Hayfin has been one of shipping's most active financial investors over the past decade, with exposure spanning tankers, bulkers, containerships, gas and offshore.
