DEME orders new 22,000 m3 trailing suction hopper dredger
The Belgian dredging group adds a next-generation hopper dredger for capital and maintenance dredging, land reclamation and offshore seabed preparation.

Belgian dredging and offshore group DEME is strengthening its dredging fleet with the order of a new 22,000 m3 trailing suction hopper dredger.
Designed for capital and maintenance dredging, land reclamation and offshore seabed preparation, the company said the next-generation vessel will deliver higher productivity while reducing both greenhouse gas intensity and the cost per dredged cubic metre.
DEME described the order as a substantial investment and another step in future-proofing its fleet, responding to growing demand for efficiency, sustainability and technological innovation across its global dredging activities.
