Xiamen ITG Marine orders eco multipurpose ships at Qinshi Jiamei
A 2+2+2 deal for 15,200 dwt MPVs with German owner Von Nordic Marine

Xiamen ITG Marine, a subsidiary of China's Xiamen ITG Group, has confirmed that a shipbuilding contract for 15,200 dwt multipurpose vessels has come into force with German owner Von Nordic Marine. The deal is structured as a 2+2+2 framework, with a firm order for four ships plus options for two more.
Signed in May 2026, the contract took effect at the end of June once all conditions were met. Construction of the lead vessel is due to start at the Qinshi Jiamei Shipyard in Nantong in March 2027. The design is billed as energy-efficient and eco-friendly, with versatile cargo handling, high hold-volume utilisation and compliance with the latest emissions rules.
ITG Marine framed the order as a milestone for its move toward self-operated order-taking and fuller control over the shipbuilding chain, rather than relying on third parties to place and manage newbuildings.
The Qinshi Jiamei yard in Nantong was established in November 2022 as a joint venture between Xiamen Qinshi Group and Jiangsu Jiamei Marine Engineering, a Bestway Marine and Energy Technology subsidiary, and focuses on offshore platforms, wind-power equipment and high-end marine gear.
