US LNG exports to Latin America hit three-year high

US LNG shipments to Latin America and the Caribbean rose about 55% in June to a 37-month high, led by Brazil, S&P Global data show.

US LNG exports to Latin America and the Caribbean hit a 37-month high in June, up around 55% on the previous month, according to S&P Global Commodity Insights data. The US shipped about 48.84 billion cubic feet to the region, up from 31.44 Bcf in May and nearly 10% above June 2025.

Brazil was the top destination at 16.26 Bcf, up more than 400% month on month, followed by Argentina at 8.29 Bcf and the Dominican Republic at 7.14 Bcf; June marked the Dominican Republic's 42nd consecutive month of US LNG deliveries. Jamaica, El Salvador, Chile, Puerto Rico and Colombia also took cargoes. In total 18 cargoes were exported to the region, up from 14 in May, with the Freeport LNG facility supplying six.
