Ocean Installer extends Solstad CSV charter to 2028

Normand Vision kept on with options that could run to 2031

Marine construction contractor Ocean Installer, a subsidiary of Moreld, has exercised an option to keep the construction support vessel Normand Vision for another year. The extension runs on from the current deal and secures the 2014-built, Solstad Maritime-owned ship through the end of 2028.

The amended agreement also adds two further annual options, for 2029 and 2030, with a mechanism that could stretch the charter to 2031. That gives Ocean Installer long-term access to high-end subsea construction tonnage as offshore activity picks up.

The Normand Vision is a purpose-built offshore construction vessel used for subsea installation work, and the multi-year extension reflects steady demand for such units across North Sea and international projects.

For Solstad Maritime, the deal underlines firm employment for its construction fleet, while for Ocean Installer it locks in capacity as it competes for subsea installation and marine operations contracts.
