The deals keep the energy services group in the frame for future brownfield and project work

Energy services group Kent has secured a fresh set of long-term agreements with Saudi Aramco, strengthening its position in the kingdom's oil and gas services market and keeping it in contention for future brownfield and project management work. The company said it had signed long-term agreements and project management consultancy framework deals that place it on bid panels for future engineering, procurement and construction opportunities as well as consultancy work.

The agreements add to Kent's existing presence in Saudi Arabia, where it has worked with Aramco across a range of services for years. Aramco relies on such framework programmes to support brownfield and maintenance activity across its oil and gas assets, helping it preserve a maximum sustainable capacity of 12m barrels a day. An executive said the company remained committed to supporting clients with safe, high-quality and performance-driven solutions as the kingdom continues to invest in its energy sector.

The award places Kent among a wider group of contractors confirming Saudi framework wins in recent weeks, following an earlier round of awards that selected 11 international companies for consultancy frameworks and 18 domestic and international players for brownfield construction deals.
