CBED buys CSOV Seaway Moxie from Seaway7 and charters it back as Wind Dedication
The 2014-built DP2 walk-to-work ship becomes the fourth in CBED's fleet and stays on Seaway7 projects until early 2028

CBED has expanded its offshore wind support fleet by buying the commissioning service operation vessel Seaway Moxie from offshore wind contractor Seaway7. The ship has already been delivered and now sails as Wind Dedication, the fourth vessel in CBED's fleet alongside Wind Innovation, Wind Creation and Wind Evolution.
Under the agreement, Wind Dedication is chartered back to Seaway7, so it continues to work on the contractor's existing offshore wind project commitments until early 2028. The ship will carry CBED branding and its new name from the start, with a full repaint into the company's livery planned for its next dry-docking survey. No price was disclosed.
What kind of ship is Wind Dedication?
Built in 2014 and flagged in the UK, the ship is a DP2 walk-to-work accommodation vessel classed by DNV with Comfort Class III notation. It has 60 beds including crew, an Uptime motion-compensated gangway and a DP2 system that allows transfers to and from offshore installations in significant wave heights of up to three metres. On board are offices and meeting rooms, and well-being facilities including a fitness room, a cinema and a lounge.
"We are very pleased to be able to expand our fleet with a fourth vessel," said Daniel Alon, general manager of CBED. "We have been looking to add a new vessel for some time, and Seaway Moxie's high operational performance combined with her ability to work at significant wave heights up to three meters makes it a very good addition to our current fleet of walk-to-work vessels."
Alon said the company looked forward to building on the ship's track record together with the crew and in close cooperation with Seaway7.
