Aker Solutions lands long-term offshore services deal in Canada
A five-year deal with Cenovus covers engineering and maintenance on the West White Rose platform and SeaRose FPSO off Newfoundland.

Norway's Aker Solutions has signed a five-year agreement with Cenovus Energy to provide engineering and maintenance services across the White Rose field assets.
The White Rose field lies roughly 350 km east of St John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, on the eastern rim of the Jeanne d'Arc Basin. The scope spans engineering, maintenance and operations support for both the new West White Rose platform and the SeaRose FPSO.
Aker Solutions is a long-standing contractor at the field, having delivered offshore engineering there since 2005 — including concrete gravity structure tow-out and installation, onshore commissioning, and offshore hookup and commissioning for the West White Rose platform, which is due to start production in 2026. The company has also handled EPCM services for the SeaRose FPSO since 2005, covering onshore engineering, procurement and work preparation for the FPSO's 2024 life-extension drydock campaign.
The work will be run out of Aker Solutions' St John's office, involving around 120 staff onshore and offshore. It will be booked as order intake in the life-cycle segment in the second quarter of 2026. Financial terms were not disclosed, though the contract was described as significant — placing it in the NOK 500m to NOK 1.5bn range ($50.6m-$151.9m).
