Norwegian offshore contractor Aker Solutions has been awarded a contract by an undisclosed customer to deliver an HVDC substructure for a European offshore wind project.

Aker Solutions said in an Oslo Bors filing that the contract scope includes engineering, procurement and construction, and that it will book the award as order intake in the second quarter of 2026 in the renewables and field development segment.

Financial details were not precisely disclosed. However, Aker Solutions described the contract as substantial, placing it in the NOK 2.5bn to 4bn ($251.7m to $402.7m) range.
